My mistake anyway. Early ejaculation from the bunch AGAIN! Burger '11, Tour de PPA '12, Bouckeart '11 & '12....seems my 'Super Domestique in training' tagline is becoming a reality.

"Future Elite Rider In Training"

More spunky. Definitely realistic.

Remember last week......

Ya, I think there were probably more people there today than last week or very close.

But at least it shows that they're working on it somehow.

I hope they're up tonight, but I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't...

If memory serves me correct, they announced that there were 1800+ cyclists today, 200 odd more than last year.

Well Done Tiny K  You will get the timimg right. You are looking very strong on the bike

Thanks man  Today's heat seriously put pressure on my riding <_< I might have looked strong but the legs were screaming at me.

To the orginizers, Many THANX for the lucky draw starting on time @ 12h00

Just lasted 25min.

Yeah, normally it starts after the cut off which was 12:30 today. Just wished that there were more people there that actually took numbers. Would have been faster.

You win anything?

Not nice finishing in what felt like 40 degrees at 9.30 in the am. Very nice to have a mist-cooled walkway at the entrance to the venue. Kudos to the organisers.

Luke, you were indeed Lucky! To finish at 09h30, I mean. Riding the short route (my kids - my excuse this year) we only started at 09h00 and finished at about 11h00 with lots of poor hot souls still out there! Had great fun though and went through that mist a couple of times!

You are close - my Garmin had 35 deg C at about 9:45 (I saw about because I do not know what time we started exactly). Must have just gotten hotter and hotter during the course of the day.

Edit: the mist was awesome...... walked through there 4 times by the end of the day. One cyclist joked with the guy standing at the mist 'machine' and asked where the swimming pool is. He replied that there isn't one but they would work on one for next year. I said, 'no man, just put those big sprinklers on that are on the field and the guys can just lie on the ground and get sprayed'.

Well done Tiny, you looked strong in the bunch today. You're giving us big guys a glimmer of hope - mooi so!

Started in A-C, I had a problem with my cleat not clipping in, and tried everything to get it sorted for the first 20km. Then my club mate punctured, so I decided to stop with him. Evidently it was a beer bottle glass that shredded his back tyre so his race was over. LUCKILY Maroesjka's dad was following in the car and gave her spare wheel to him. Baie dankie oom!

I took the opportunity to remove a stone from my cleat that was causing the clipping in problem. Note to self: Don't walk around in your cleats minutes before the start gun. Or at least: check you can clip in ok before you go!

The rest of the race the two of us paced ourselves over Botma's down the other side, and then the first D/E/F's caught us up where we worked together for a while.

In the end a hard training ride, measured 123km on my Garmin.

Well done to all - it's my first time starting in the A-C bunch, and what a pleasure starting with you guys.

Roll on the Rollercoaster!

Roll on the Rollercoaster!

Thanks man! Like I say to other guys, I have a 96Kg frame with 108Kg's muscle (the weight I started at 2 years ago). I also have a natural fitness and am really competitive. Will be good to meet at some point.

I heard someone go over that bottle. Was not a cool sound! The woman in the 99'er pink jersey pointed it out but I guess your buddy wasn't warned by the person in front of him. I was on the road side of the woman.

I am skipping the roller coaster and going skydiving..... so much more fun. Racing the 99'er again.
