So a number of Kings players had agreed terms with the Bulls etc before the last relegation play off this Saturday but they could only sign once release terms in their contracts (Kings are relegated) came into play. So if these new contracts represented a pay hike for them there was absolutely no reason to beat the Lions and be stuck with their existing contracts at the Kings.
