Will be interesting to see if they let Goosen play his normal running game or force him into a "Blue Bull" game plan.

If its the kicking game plan they might as well play Morne..

Goosen has also only played about 20-30 minutes since his injury..reminds me a lot of the whole Gaffie story a couple of years ago..Sink or swim

yeah i agree, no one can kick an up and under like Morne... he has had like 5 games to practice them

Goosen will be OK trust me. That kid has what it takes. If you are good enough you are old enough. Yes he hasnt played a lot but he is super fit. He had a shoulder injury meaning he could do enough running at least and he aint scared of a front rower charging at him.

Regarding the captaincy issue I would like to make a crazy prediction that Juan Smith will be the next world cup captain. This time off might just have done hom the world of good. All his injuries will heal 100% and he will be ready to go upon return whenever that is. A 2 year lay off could prolong his career and he is still young remember (just turned 31). Watch this space.

Now if only they could put Lambie or Taute on at fullback then the Goose has another runner to put into space....

Juan Smith? That guy is a walking injury....

Its funny how everyone says that. He had a long injury free career and then suddenly got 5 injuries over 18 months and now everyone writes him off. 2005 - 2007 he played a lot of rugby injury free and was practically our best player at the world cup. Maybe too much rugby does catch on. Look at Schalk as well. Why isnt anyone saying anything about him? Neck injureis, broken thumb, ribs and now knee and when he does get on he gets banned.

The same goes for many other guys. Anyways it is just a prediction. Os was also told he would never play rugby or walk normal. 2 years rest down the line he played in another world cup. it is amazing what a bit of time away from the game can do.......

In a 10 year career, which is long for a rugby player, to have played your best, injury free, rugby 5 years ago, can't bode well for your future prospects. AT 31 most rugby players are getting ready to retire...

I would just like to see them take a young team on the British tour.

let them have a crack at international rugby and see what they can produce and try grow a team around that.

As for captaincy,

Im not sure if any of the current players have what it takes to lead properly.

My only choice would be Bismark,

but that would impact on his game as he will quieten down a bit.

My prediction would be a new 8th man down or flanker coming in an getting the job after Jean.

I doubt Bismark will play again this year, and he certainly isn't a captain. Adriaan Strauss is the obvious choice in my opinion (and is vice-captain anyhow for Saturday). Dropping Jean and bringing in one of many youngsters must be on the cards - Lionel Mapoe (on form player if you ask me!!), Paul Jordaan and Jan Serfontein are all exciting prospects and must be in the mix soon.

I wont be surprised if you see Goosen and Kirchner being substituted at the same time by Lambie and Jantjies with more than 20 minutes to go, irrespective of how they're playing or what the score is.

Why would you sub Goosen if he plays well?

Hopefully the nicknaks man will be substituted in the 10th minute. Adriaan will make a good captain you are right.
