Endurance supplement

Looking for a good DURING training/racing endurance drink/supplement...

 

What can you recommend?

 

Problem I have with most, is that I keep needing to make nature stops (number 1's by the way).. as they just work straight through my system.

Now on Cytopower HP from USN.

 

Only used on racing events.

 

Train on 60%apple juicy 40% water during the week.

 

Never was a fan of the brand, but this stuff works for me.

I use 32Gi and eat enduren bars for during ride nutrition.

 

How fast are you going through a bottle of juice? You should go through one bottle every 2 hours.

I've heard good things about USN's epic pro...!!!

 

Cytopower is what i'm currently using... but bib cycling shorts, and nature stops - dont really go well together!!!

Been very happy with Epic Pro, taste is quite neutral I reckon. Mind you, I don't mix it at full strength either.

Overall though I've found that and the USN Vitargo to be pretty darn good.

 

 

works for hangovers too ..... apparently :whistling:

How fast are you going through a bottle of juice? You should go through one bottle every 2 hours.

 

i carry 2 bottles for a 4 hour ride (1 x water, 1 x juice (cytopower at the moment))

It is also what u do before like putting the right minerals in your body look at a product called Vita Mins, that u take before heavy training and racing.

What u need for endurance is the correct mix of Carb and Protein plus the usual stuff that goes with it. Peptopro has that mix, tastes like crap the first sip but then ur body sytarts asking for it. I wont use any SA product as there is no regulatary body that actually inspects what goes into the prduct you buy. I throw in one teaspoon of creatine in my bottles with Peptopro just to get the taste really spot on :eek: , u need the creatine when u have long or strenious sessions.

The Pee thing is nothing but showing that ur body is working like it should. But maybe ur drinking too much or to much before or to much at once, u gotta sip throughout the race not take big gulps.

Its so annoying when your riding partner has to make a nature stop and you have to stand on the side of the road holding her bike.

 

I'm in support of same sex cycling.

I use Epic pro too, it doesn't taste great but it seems to work for me.

 

make sure you don't buy the passion fruit - smells and tastes like dry vomit. Not that I know what that tastes like :-) But it works.
