Was actually fun just standing around at chappies for 5 or so minutes. People were tired and needed an excuse for a break. Was awesome chatting to the folks at the top.

Damn nice pics! Gonna show my wife so she can get some idea of what it really looked like on the road.

I only rode that road (twice) at Argus time and never really "saw" it for what it is. Never drove it either. Was talking to a pommie who's been down there a few weeks ago and he reckoned he had tears streaming down his face when he did Chappies drive. It was that beautiful.

Here I am and I'm always looking at the wheel in front. Something I shall have to remedy.

Excellent pics. Thanks for sharing.

Actually better than the tv coverage. Waisted space on my PVR recording the Argus.

This is the REAL Argus spirit!

Great one Slowbee!

3 generations of family riding together also ranks high up there.

Great Pics Slowbee, I see your start group was the same as me (PA).

I was totally floored looking at the PA results. We had 6 hours on the clock, and I figured we would be right at the back. Staggering to think we were in the middle results for the group.

Would be really interesting to see a curve of when people finish.

That is why some do a 2nd lap - just for the vibe and views.
