I dont think Cav will take it, in my opinion its a race for a big strong guy, I would go with Boonen or maybe Griepel, big Tom looks to me to be in good shape and he rode the Paris / Nice strongly, I think I'll go with big Tom.

Would love to see this on TV but alas the computer will have to do. Money on cav if he makes it over last last hill if not then the favourite will be Boonen.

Whats the start time? So i know when to warm up the ol laptop...

I am hoping Nibs or Sagan clinches this great race.

you can't discount a past winner of MSR like that surely?

If it comes down to a sprint then I think Cav, Team Sky's ace up the sleeve is Boassen-Hagen if he gets into a break

Cav took it in 2009.

He is now already at TdF weight - 70 kgs.

In the velonews.com interview, he is stating that he is in the best possible form for this race and prepared not to be shaken off at the climbs.

Must say, he has been very good with the Rainbow Stripes over his back.

GO, SAGAN!!

No not at all, I certainly dont discount him, I just think its a race for a big tough guy and Boonen is looking very solid.

Cav can only win from a sprint, I think (hope) a small break will get away in the final few kilometers and the winner will come from there, Boonen is strong enough to get into or even initiate these kinds of breaks and quick enough to win from them, basically that's my rationale, but if it comes to a sprint, I think Cav is undoubtedly the favorite.

Cippo will not be racing MSR tomorrow. It seems to have been much a do about nothing. I would place my bets on Cancellara or Gilbert to break before the finish. If it comes down to a sprint it would be Sagan or Greipel.

Cav has the support of a formidable team - and he has a lot to do with that teamwork that will lead him to the final sprint, where you will agree few can match his acceleration. So he has a good chance. Certainly knows what he is in for.

But maybe a solo or breakaway will do the distance?

Will Sagan be strong enough to make an impact after 300kms ?....maybe after 150-160kms maybe.....reckon a stronger roadman sprinter will win : my good money would be on Freire for the 4th time with Haussler, Goss and possibly even Ballan to keep out the big faves (Cancellara, Boonen, Cavendish)

However, for the beauty and history of the race, I'd like Boonen to get his name on the racewinner's list as he's been so close 2 or 3 times and his time is NOW !!
