Hi,

Can anyone point me to good resources for functional strength training specific to cyclists.

Not looking to merely do bodybuilding type exercises

you can go onto www.cyclocore.com I have been doing the exercises and programs for about two years now and there has been a definite improvement in my core strength and overall cycling functional strength.

check out 180 gym in CPT CBD. They are top notch fuunctional trainers (not specific to cycling though) altought i think they could tailor it for you. Brent is the guy to talk to!

Back in the day (90's) when I was a runner our coach made us do plyometric exercises before each track session. IMHO - think they are very good for strength, co-ordination and injury prevention.

That link doesn't work for me. However, www.cyclecore.com did work, but not sure if that is still the site you had in mind?
