Frame protector from chain

I have a very nice hard protector on my scott scale and need something similar for my wife ktm

do you guys know where i can get some in SA, i would prefer the plastic to the neoprene ones

Split a tube along it's length, start at the derailleur side and wrap it along the chain stay. Finish off behind the chainraing with a cabletie.

I find something removable with velcro works well, you can easily clean out the grit etc from underneath the protector each time you wash your bike. No scratching of the frame then by grit vibrating under a more permanent(cable tied) protector.

Take a piece of old gator skin and cut out a large trip and then cable tie it to the frame. It's neat and simple

+1 I have one of these. Bit of a bugger to fit initially but an awesome protector nonetheless. Proudly South African if I'm not mistaken...

i have tried that but looking for something thats neat

 

Use a road tube. It looks neater (Make sure the seam is on the inside) The trick is not to use cable ties to fix it at the end... THAT makes all the difference ;)
