Personally I'm against it - it turns the Epic into a money game - spend the extra dosh on another team and have a rolling back up service. Not cool. Kinda against the ethos of "2 man team". Any team accepting assisance from another team (whether friend or foe) should be banned/penalised etc. Gooooo Kevin and Dave! Partially agree, dont like the idea of having a second team who will follow and help out where and if required. If opposing teams want to help thats cool, but it should be limited to control stuff like swopping bikes, wheels ect... small stuff would be ok, as a rule of thumb the helping team should be able to continue riding without receiving help from somewhere else. The 2 man team thing is ok, its nice to partner with someone...as long as you dont take it to serious...you get to really develop your relationship. Plus it helps with carrying tools and spares by splitting the load.
gtr1 Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 If you remember, Bulls have had a backup team for a number of years already. If Buury and Christoph had one in previous years they would have won a few more Epics. Remember the 1 hour penalty for Burry receiving a wheel from Brandon I think.
