Benjamin Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Yip, can sleep in the race tents, similar to Sani, down by the river, or you can pitch your own tent, or bring your caravan and set up a few hundred metres away on the other side of the camp. The main race and food tent is about in the middle. All good either way. Past few years we have used our own tents, but always a bit of a pain to take down and pack up after the race. Very chilled environment and superb event.

Ratty Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Are you doing 2 day or 3 day? 3 day. Coming from Cape Town. Its a long drive (I know from driving to Sani). Are there any other option of getting there.
Benjamin Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Eish. I'd fly to Durbs and drive up. Start is in the Free State, near Sterkfontein Dam. Camp in the Emseni camp overnight after day 1 and day 2, and then day 3 finishes in Winterton, which is about 20 ks away as the crow flies ( bit further by bike!)Â Long way to drive from CT and then drive back 3 days later. Durban to Winterton is an easy 2 hrs or so, and probably 3 hrs to the start venue.

If you park your car at the start and the finish is some kms away, is there a shuttle to take you back to the car after day 3, or do you have to arrange your own t/port?
