USN Mountain Bike Cup 2012 (Event #3)

So ... who's doing this one? ( the 60km off course )

 

I'm yet to race at base 3 so I dont know the specific course at all, is it a nice route?

 

All the Usn cup races are very well organized imo.

_{Did the 30km in the first race this year. Not very hilly and so on, nice singletrack not too technical. The faster guys can really give it horns here. For the 60km from what a friend told me its about 600m of climb, and the route is a double loop as far as i know}

_{There seem to be 160 something entries for the 60Km and 144 for the 30km. Busy. Try and get there a bit early, so u can start towards front.}

_{IN that 30km I did we started rigtht at the back and the first 14km was lots of stop...walk...start again type stuff}

I also did for the first race - the 30km. Was a great race and varied route, some awesome single and jeep track. Only issue was a lot of walking for the first 10kms or so due to people dismounting at the "technical" sections which were not technical at all. As RudoJ says - get there early to start at the front.

 

The 60km is 2 laps of the 30km

Attached the elevation profile from the last USN 60km. Total ascent is 530m. There are some awesome Singletrack sections. Always a well organised race, pity I won't be joining you all!

Not as flat as you might think but a great ride and ALWAYS well organised.

60km starts at 7h30 followed buy the 30,10 and then 2km kids so will guess at 8ish.

I'm keen on doing the 60km race.

MtbBarbie - Is that the profile of the race last year or #2 USN this year? I see the 60km race is a loop of the 30km one so I expect the profile to repeat.

One second glance that profile does look like it repeats if you blur your yes. My mistake
