To do both the mast and silvermine is a really good workout - and then you still have a whole lot of playing down the single track to do. There is simply no other ride that I know of, with such beautiful views around every corner. On a windless day it is "the perfect ride".

 

How did your time from the parking to the mast compare to the (I think) about 40 minute record?

Regarding training, how's this

 

I bumped into a guy in Tokai three times this week, his routine was mast several times each day and a few loops on the ST... but today was something else. I went up at 11 and saw him coming down. 11:30, saw him coming back up, 12:15, back down from the mast, (4th time he said), then off to S'mine for another 400m climb.

 

So went back to tonight for a ride and eventually got back to the parking at 6:15, guess who finally came down?? Said he was going home!
