Just a hint

If you look at the sections of steel welded as bracing to the frame, there is a gap between the brace and frame. This in time will corrode to a point. Best to offset this but squirting some Q20 in there every time you wash your bike as a basic maintenance item.

Awesome thanks dude, will do. I have already sprayed WD40 into all the little holes and tubes where ever I could when I was building the bike up :) really enjoying the bike, so much so that I sold my fullsuser Scott!

Nope its still all about your reach and your tobtube length more than anything else, regardless of wheelsize.

Covie, how does this affect your Pedal Bob or Tracking?

So how nice does this steel Inbred ride compared to say a Giant XTC 29er? Will an alu single speed be much worse? I'm a 26er dual rider hence my lack of experience with this.

I've been busy with my imaginary single speed fantasy build but the cost makes it difficult to justify.

Inbred 29er with Reba and XT wheelset : ~ R18 500

Inbred 29er rigid frame bundle with XT wheelset: ~ R14 000

For that money one can pretty much get a full XT 29er like a Vida 1, Scale 940 etc.

I really want to build the steel single speed but building up from components is just so expensive.
