I have read a couple of articles about Suntour forks lately and it really does seem like they are putting in a lot of effort to up their game. Only time will tell if they are any good now and what reliability is like. Even so, its good to see them making an effort as it will give the big boys a go and hopefully give riders more choice and bring some prices down.

The same can probably be said for X-Fusion and Formula ( the latter having brought out suspensions forks along with their brakes.)

I like the format of the lowers being a that they manufacture a full length lower and then cut it down to which ever format they are aiming at (26", 27.5" or good old 29'er) and then simply bond on the dropouts to the carbon lowers.

Hey 5 years ago nobody wanted Rockshox ........ Fox was da bomb, now fox is just overpriced and people "generally" would rather buy RS. Suntour has three problems though.

1.. Branding, they are known as a low end fork supplier, I would have rebranded under a different name to get rid of that stigma.

2. Their model numbering/naming, in most cases it makes sense only to the suntour designers and is not very user friendly.

3. They would need to produce a better fork than RS at a lower price point, or a almost similar in performance shock at a lot cheaper price point in order to gain market share.

i can see we have some serious fanbois in our midst: totally underrating Marzo. that's good. Carry on. Not everyone gets to ride the legend

All suntour needs to do, if it backs it's products to the hilt, is sponsor some muthahuckers outta BC, busting 900ft drops and canyon sized gaps, and the rest of the world will worship the brand. End.Of.Story.

That and be marginally, but sufficiently better priced than the rest and they'll have it good. Marzo did that with their 2010 rebirth (and yes, it was a rebirth out of 2 solid years in the sh1tpile), and look at the prices now.
