Hi guys

So I bought some stuff off CRC, but how do I get it? Yes this is a stupid question, but where do I collect it? Does it come to the post office, my door or do I have to go to the airport?

I placed the order two weeks ago so I am a bit worried about it. I haven't received my post for a while either as the post office is apparently on strike.

Any advice?

Thanks

If you selected delivery by royal mail or parcelforce you collect from the P.O.

The PO should send you a slip telling you that its there and how much to pay, but don't bank on it.

If its coming Parcel force follow the tracking into SA the phone international mail for the local Tracking number.

If you tiok free shipping the postoffice will deliver to your door. Two Weeks are too long. That's why I pay for dhl shipping. You will also have to pay vat. Hope you didnt order shoes or clothes, otherwise you are going to get a big surprise.

Now for the life of me I can't remember which shipping I took, I will go check. I bought an indoor trainer, so hopefully I don't get Klapped with to import duty

Stray Cat,

I also ordered a saddle from CRC a month ago and it took about 10 working days to reach my Post Office. The Post Ofice will send you a collection slip to pick up your package. The **** thing is you also probably took the cheap R60 shipping option? You don't get a tracking number with this option so the whereabouts of the package is unknown.

Post Office strike due to the petrol price?? .... I'll wait another week then email CRC and explain the situation, they will send a form you need to fill in for a "lost package" then they will dispatch a new package.

If it was Royal Mail it could take up to 4 weeks, but if it takes longer, send CRC an email and they'll make a plan. Also, check when it got dispatched - sometimes it gets stuck and you need to send CRC an email to find out what the problem is. Parcel Force is usually just more than a week after dispatch.

No they won't deliver to your door. Who pays the import duties then?

The package will be delivered to your postbox, where you will need to take your drivers licence or ID book in with you. Probably have to wait another week or so, maybe 2 if they are striking

One item ordered online has been delivered to my door, was a cassette from wiggle.

No VAT was paid, got home and there it was, since then it's been from the P.O

When last did you order?

Apparantly Post office has been known to deliver to one's door. My apologies

Yes it does sometimes straight to my front gate ( think depends on how close ur residence is to the P.O & size of package). Last order 2 handlebars & it was - VAT R38.82 - clearance fee R30.00 & RMails R60.00 delivery so = R128.00 on a +- R400.00 order

Well then I am sorry, and you are lucky.

Post office has always brought me the slip and told me there is a parcel waiting to be collected.
