nickelass Posted May 22, 2012 Share going through Underberg two weeks ago,on ihe way to Sani Pass,I pointed out to by wife where the race started.At Underberg,she was supprised, as she was under the impression it was linked to Sani Pass.Admittingly she had never been to Sani Pass,and does not know the area.Thanks for informing me the area is known as Sani,as I can now tell her the name is correct. That year the race experienced a lot of rain, so much so that many "normal" vehicles could not get to the planned start point. The race start was then moved to Underberg School, this worked out well for the race organisers and racers alike, they decided to keep the start at Underberg School. This is from a source that has done the Sani2C eight times now, so I'm sure it is pretty accurate. It would have been a logistical nightmare to do it from there... I am sure it was not accurate at all! This sounds like the one of stats that 95% of all people believe everything they are told!
