TransPatagonia (mens category)

if i had a choice - and enough bucks - I think i would do the Transpatagonia.

15 days - 1260km taking you from the Pacific to the Atalntic by bike. Its not about singletrack and incredible trails but more about seeing some incredible scenery and going through an array of landscapes while still giving you a good hard ride. Would love to do this with some good mates

Dear K-Way team, if you struggle to get hold of me to advise me of winning the opportunity to review your products on my dream-Namibian-save-the rhino-challenge as result of my post in the competition (page one), I will check my PM's regularly from now on :-)

Awww the compo closed on Friday :(

so now i can't post pictures of the Great Glenn Way with my panniered bike on what must be the world's best singletrack ... or pictures of my bike in the snow on top of one of the Lhasa-Kathmandu-Mountain passes .... or my commute through the spruit ... or Mankele bushtunnels ... or die foresty-piece on the Van Gaalens Daggapad ... or hunting for old castles in Ireland ... or cycling through tulips in Holland.

Just as well ... I wouldn't have been able to choose a 'best'

I'll start dreaming of the next place! EDIT: Oh yes, and I need mens k-way stuff because naked cycling is frowned upon.

I want to be there too! Are you doing a tour?

Sani pass is my favorite place to ride a bike, suffer up the pass and fly back down after lunch! Nothing is better then the thrill of the switchbacks on the way back down.

Hi all prospective Freedom Challenge Race across South Africa RASA and Rough Ride to Rhodes 2013 riders,

Thank you for your online entry.

As you will all be aware we are currently in the midst of the excitement which is RASA 2012.

As soon as the dust settles, the mud dries on the bikes and the blankets handed out, you will receive a formal acknowledgement of your entry and an explanation of the rest of the entry process.

In the meantime, rest assured that you are in line to ride RASA2013 or RRTR2013

All the best[/font]

Here is my dream to ride the Freedom Challange 2013.

Hi Hubbers,

Thanks again for all the great entries.

It was a tough job narrowing them down to the two winners... and even tougher resisting the urge to get out and ride a bike!

And the winners are....

In the Ladies category:

thatsme

Location TBD - A creative spin and great description of her ideal destination

(Ladies) I can't choose one place! But here are what my ultimate riding destinations will have in common:

1) Big climbs = big scenery

2) but not too much of this.. I'd like to keep my fingers

3) good camping spots

4) good street food

and 5) friendly people!

But now that I've read this thread I'm adding Squier's Umkomaas singletrack to the top end of the list. May we all get to our various theres (there's?) sooner than later.

And in the Mens category:

patches

Morzine, France - The pictures say it all

all keeping it local?!

I'll break from the trend...

here's my dream spot (for now)

After that trip... I'll start dreaming of the next place!

EDIT: Oh yes, and I need mens k-way stuff because naked cycling is frowned upon.

Congrats to each of the winners and thank you all for your entries.

I want to be there too! Are you doing a tour?

Not a tour as such... me and a few other hubbers (Super_mil, Peach & DaveMD) are going there to ride ski lifts and downhill trails. Hopefully no helicopter rides though!

Patches won Lycra! That is like a vegan winning a rump steak!

Hey! even vegans use steaks for other purposes. Like to help swelling go down... and distracting big dogs.

Similarly so... 2 weeks of sunrise-to-sunset riding in the alps is going to take it's toll on my rump steak, so some paddy-pants under my DH shorts will be welcome
