The levels of traffic we’ve been receiving have been absolutely insane which – as some of you unfortunately witnessed – caused some brief outages this morning. We immediately boosted our server capacity but we want to expand it even further which means taking the site down for an hour. To minimize disruption we’re going to do this on Sunday morning as we’re not running specials on Sundays during the promo. If thousands of you go online at the same time tomorrow to see Saturday’s crazy deal (which will be before the massive capacity upgrade has happened), the site might be slow. Please bear with us – and don’t see it as a challenge to get all your chinas and their chinas and their chinas’ chinas hitting us at 9am (although you can hit us all you like from Monday onwards)! The plan with the 35th Birthday specials is that we only sell 35 units of each promotional item. To make up for the fact we had downtime this morning, today’s special will run until we’re out of stock.

I had an alarm set for 9am, stopped my ride when it went off,logged into the website, waited.... and waited..... and waited.... then put my phone away with the page still loading and continued riding, checked it later and it had loaded... but with the old specials still! hee hee. Anyway after the ride I checked again and the new offer was there. I knew that traffic would be an issue.
