Ok, not a bike, but stolen nonetheless

So, as a housewarming gift, I got my house broken into, and Kevin took some stuff of mine. Two items are not everyday common things and can be recognised so I 'm just putting it out there in case some honest person stumbles upon/sees the items for sale in their local Pawn Shop/second-hand dealer/wherever.

They are:

1) A Zeiss Victory 8x26 Rangefinder Serial No 3292555. Black Rubberised Body; Brand New but without packaging which was discarded by Kevin. Was going to be a gift to my son, who is Bow-Crazy.

2) A Hand Made drop-point skinning knife, approx 200mm in length; Solid Yellow-wood handle, with gut hook on the back of the handle. On Left hand side of blade is "Smit Knives Zimbabwe"; "Darren" and 21/11/98. Serial no(from memory, so may be a few digits out on first part of number) is 146/98. On Right hand side of blade is "Thank You, Doug". Knife is made from 440C Stainless, polished to mirror finish. Wedding present from mate.

3) Leatherman Wave 1, new blades & bits, but handles worn to a very smooth shine, and in a very well used leather pouch. I would recognise it anywhere, but no real distinguishing marks to speak of.

Maybe a long shot, but you never know. I would be prepared to pay a reasonable reward for the return of my stuff should someone find it.

I would pay an even larger reward for the Testicles of Kevin, together with his hands, chopped off at the wrists.

Hope this is not viewed as abuse of the Hub.

I just met Kevin at the shebeen and he said to say thanks very much, he and the brothers feel a lot safer now that he has converted your weaponry into Black Label quarts.

Thanks Lucky Luke, I feel much better now.:) Not.

My loss is small in monetary value; I hate to think what it's like to have a really special and expensive bike stolen(especially if it's a once-off that has been lovingly built by it's proud owner). This whole scenario of Kevin helping himself to whatever he pleases really p's me off. The fact that quality goods get shifted for booze/drugs money at a fraction of their value makes me ill.

Never a nice thing to hear.

Its not about the money, its about the invasion of privacy. Once got broken into 7 times in one year and even when they took random junk that was destined to be tossed out, it still was not nice.

Hard luck. Seems like some sentimental stuff there. you taking a law of averages that it was Kevin and not Walter

Thanks. Ja, that's the problem: it's not just stuff; it has a long history and many a memory attached.

Yes, law of averages applied here. Kev seems to be more active than Walt in these parts., although Walt sometimes sub-contracts Kev. Kevincc(a division of WalterCorp maybe) has hit me twice now, and both times have been right in the crotch.

Thanks Christopher,

Yes, exactly. And the place never seems clean again, no matter how much you wash everything.

7 times? In a year? Hory Clap! Sorry man, that is severe.

I suppose I should see the Silver Lining here and be grateful that I'm not terminally ill (or appreciate a thousand other things that I do still have, like a job, a loyal wife, 2 wonderful children and.............). :)
