Should have made it look like hell, and got the win if you ask me.

I am sure she did give her best in the final, maybe she miscalculated the timing of her attack in the last few 100 meters. Well done to getting an Olympic medal for SA

Caster did well! Maybe she did time her attack wrong. It is common knowledge that the Russian kicks like a katushua misile in the last 150m. Caster's time is her best this season so she did do very well!

Thanks I am backing all of them and Guor Marial today

Moloka has good legs, but I agree Fabes, this Guor chap is my choice today, purely for the fact that he is running for us all and his inspirational story.

"when she was winning, she was accused of cheating, when she was losing, she was accused of not trying."

I'll raise my hand as guilty.

"Not that I'm trying to say that Semenya ran a good race - you simply cannot allow the moves of your two main rivals to go completely unnoticed, but I am saying that it's possible that Semenya does not have the ability to run the race any other way - she may well be at her limit and unable to run those 28s 200m splits mid-race. The fact that she looks so easy doing it is neither here nor there. Go on YouTube and look up her race at the World Junior Championships in Poland in 2008. She finished second last in her semi-final, and looked the same as she did today. That was long before any controversy, or any need to avoid scrutiny. Semenya is just a very 'casual', disengaged runner."

Like I said before, she should have rather finished dead on her feet, and won or failed miserably, but at least have been in the game.

Love that name. Sounds like an 80's cigarette brand.

Did you see the footage of him lying on the pavement? Hope he is ok but i had to have a chuckle. I see images like that each saturday and sunday morning here in the Boland

Looks like Coolboy decided to have his lunch time nap

:) - Yeah, just shows how superior the Kenyans and in this instance Ugandans are in the marathon events. South Africa has some really good marathoners but the African countries are just in a class of their own in this event. Have to say no one really expected to see (Ugandan) Kiprotich taking podium, the good money was always on Kirui for a win but today wasn't his day, still silver in this event is a stellar performance.
