whats the verdict on these bikes? any good?

oh nooo! I'm having Cajees flashbacks! hahaha!

I once took my Yeti in there for something and the salesman says "I haven't heard of these Yeti bikes. Are they good like Scott?"

That's like saying, is Maseratti good like Volkswagen!

But yeah, they're a boutique bike brand from Golden Colorado. Been around for 25+ years. Seen many world titles in DH and 4X. Great bikes!

 I get the same type of comments about my Intense from some people out on the trails. But my bikes never see the inside of a bike shop.

Amoryns, they are great bikes. Which Yeti are you looking at?

Yup, the curse of owning a boutique bike

The general pedal pushers don't know what to appreciate. Then tell them that it's South African (like Morewood) and their sceptisism hightens. They are then convinced that their <insert mass produced in Aisia brand here> is far superior.

But we know... we know

i am not too familiar with the top of the range carbon frame. which one is it? is this a good all rounder bike? good for climbing and good for descending? Weight?

ok... now we need more specifics, cos Yeti Makes from Road bikes to DH bikes.

I'm guessing you're talking about ASR Carbon though

True that. This weekend I was at a race(it's a ride for me, but most call it a race), and while I was pumping the tyres of my girlfriend's bike, two guys walked past, and the one saw my bike and told the other one, "Intense, that sounds like a cheap Asian brand", had a good laugh about that!!

looking at dual suspension...mostly for stage races and one day races.....haven't reached that stage where I would willingly through myself off a mountain for fun (DH)
