Will Oscars outburst cause me not to ride my bike...ummm nope

Will the Oscar Hub crucifier's cause me not to ride my bike....ummm nope

And the Oscar for best original hubplay goes to...scotty!

Funny how what I, and MANY other say need to be backed up by a row of scientists and double-blind tests - and what you say can be backed up with a cup of cocoa and a fuzzy blanket. Don't waste my time.

As said below, you asked for my opinion...

Seriously you wasting your own time mate. You came here and started a thread about the whole Oscar Pistorius situation. Now you got feedback and opinions from the hubbers. Who do you think you are with your your snot nose childish comments every time someones opinion is not in line with yours.

Again, and as always you are taking a dump right next to the toilet. Thanks for highlighting what I said though ("do you or do you not believe that his carbon legs give him an unfair advantage"). That, mate, is the debate I was and am after. I don't care to hear people arguments about giving him a break, letting him have the benefit of the doubt and other touchy/feely bullsh1t. Some people, and it seems you included, are incapable of taking a logical stance on the topic and prefer to muddy the water with emotional mumbo-jumbo.

Um, possibly because they keep answering and hammering a question I never asked.

Ok, so don't give Oscar a break. Whilst you at it, Line up Oscar and Bolt next to each other...

There will never be a way to quantify the advantage that the blades give Oscar. Yes, there is the "spring" or "bounce" effect of the blade. But the Prostheses needs to be connected to the body, and I believe that this in it's own does not allow for optimal power transfer from body to blade. The Achilles Tendon is the thickest and strongest tendon in the Human body, it can handle a load of about 7.7 times the body weight when running. So I believe that you need to use this data, plus the efficiency of the human joints and compare that to the Efficiency of the blade minus the weak point of the connection region of the Prostheses.

Then, you need to take the athlete into consideration as well, as kids start to run around from the age of 3 and competitively from the age of 5. How long would one take to get accustomed the these blades?

The only way to really measure the advantage, is to take Oscar and Bolt, and measure their power output on something like a stepper machine.

You're not being honest with yourself about your own question.

The scientific study as to whether his blades give him an advantage over an able bodied athlete is so complex that nobody on the hub can answer it without devoting months to the topic. You need a mathematical model for every movement of the human body. It is also a study that has to be done without prejudice.

So the most anybody could contribute to you was their gut feel on whether he has an advantage or not. You actually just wanted people to agree with you that he should not compete.

O Gawd, there is no name for people like you. Please do me a favour. If you don't have anything logical to say, don't. Cause as much as I know I shouldn't reply to you I always end up replying, but trust me, you will be wasting your own time next time.

Pull your head out your a@#. Peoples opinions will differ to yours does not mean they not logical if they differ.

Must say you very consistent, every time you don't have a response i get whacked with some childish remark.

O Gawd??? Why dont you just go ahead and type Gods name in vein because thats surely the effect you going for

and start another 10 page debate?

me thinks not

I don't think anyone could debate it if you were actually able to post times of these "better 400m runners" :whistling:

I feel your pain. And best of all, I was tempted to call some names... Maybe we should start.

Not at all. He should compete. Most def. Against other disabled athletes. Not abled ones.

And the scientific tests were done. 1) He was "banned". 2) He hired his own scientists to overturn the ban 3) Ban overturned 4) After time his own scientists start singing a different tune.

Don't waste his time, he is a very important guy

Here I go again. Every time I don't have a response? Bwahahaha. I have a pretty decent response every time, and unfortunatelly every time its to try and knock the cup of hot choc out of your hand but you seem to cling pretty tightly to it.

...and pretty consistent yourself, you every time you don't have a reply you can't reply without throwing "childish" somewhere in there. Childish, isn't it?

Seems you have your own page on Wikipedia? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troll_(Internet)

Well yes I agree he has answered the question himself this week. The moment you bring the blades into the equation how do you prove that the blades are not an advantage.

It's a different sport. At the time I supported the idea of him running the normal olympics but in hindsight it was wrong.

Congratulations. You quoted an actual real life fact.
