Its an Alu frame that contains 0.5% scandium and then the frame is handed over to the marketing department to make it lighter, stronger and tougher.
kosmonooit Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Yes its an Al alloy but referred to as 'Scandium' for frames and bars. I got some Scandium mtb bars, am impressed how strong they are given the wall thickness. Had to get my angle grinder out to cut them.
