Enjoyed the race thoroughly, have wathed it numerous times already...

Perhaps Burry's marathon racing has impeded his xco racing?

All opinions aside, those guys CAN ride, no matter what the wheel size...or the person size...

That kind of ave speed over the course is astounding. Over 1000m of ascent over such a short distance makes me tired just thinking about it!!

Well done to Burry!!

It's a bit of a cliche, but those guys really do make it look easy. Some of those sections are nuts. Plus they average 24kph, so I guess it is pretty intense out there.

The foreshortening effect of video makes it look easier than it really is and that looked pretty steep to me, so it must be hectic in reality.

anyway.... those Cyclocross style bike-porting back markers would open a can of whip-ass on most of us any day! ;)

And well done on another Burry thread! we've sung his praises already, but its all good ..

Yes those Brit commentators were really poor, did not have much knowledge of MTB, and randomly chatted whilst guys were attacking etc, they missed a lot. Moved on to some Italian stream and got the cyclenews ticker up.

Must admit I did not even listen to the commentators as it was so exciting and we knew who we were watching. It was just a babble in the background

There were numerous pictures again after that of him on his bike without a stem and saddle and yet they still didnt pick it up...

Please post any of those numerous pictures where he is riding without a stem. I would like to see anyone, pro's included, control a bike without a stem.

Just in case you meant seat post, luckily you weren't commentating! ;)

Things with with cycling I am often doing something else on another screen, so I rely on the commentary for cues to action.

Marco had the Italians commentators going balistic: "mama mia" ... "grandisimo"

So what's next .... Vuelta starts on Sat. :)
