Sani2C 2013 Waiting List

Has anyone on the wait list for 2013 received a confirmation email?

 

Did the enter thing again yesterday and wondering what the time frame is until the lottery results are released.

^{yip received mine within an hour later ! even phoned a week later and mailed them. seems like we got no chance of getting in. so wanted to get serious in the mtb thing but might just stick to road. seeing that i can get entries}

just a little frustrated that its like a clicky thing just to ride a mtb race! just saying you enter a road race and it's done MTB races are super limited

the trails get very congested especially on single track which is something you don't get on road races hense the limited numbers. Personally Sani2c has gone too large per race. Last year was the most amount of tents I have ever seen in 5 years. While I didn't have to wait on single track like going into the valley etc lots of people just a little further back were waiting. Not very nice.... One of the reasons I have decided not to do it again this year. Just not what it used to be 5 years ago. I suppose after 5 it is easy to opt out from doing it. Time for a new challenge

Don't stress too much chaps, if you don't get an entry from been on the waiting list, keep checking the hub because entries do come available, especially the last month building up to the event. I went on to the waiting list 3 years back and when i realized that i was going to struggle to get an entry, i kept my eye on the hub and got one 2 weeks prior to the event. Saying that, i saw half a dozen so they do come available, i even saw entries at hugely discounted rates a week prior to the event because guys wanted to get some money back when they realized they couldn't make it.

Don't worry I have given mine up and the GF gave her entry up and another mate gave his one up... so thats 3 entries up for grabs.......

It's not a "clicky thing" just limited to the number of cyclists that can be supported in the middle of nowhere !

You could always wait till just before the race and thn pick up one of the many entry spots for sale on this forum

I have been fortunate to have done a few of the Sani2C race events and they are a real 'must' to do at least once.

I feel that Glen and his team have over extended themselves in having 3 rides (plus Jhb to Sea)and I have seen a steady decline in the organization in the Race event. I think by the time the Race comes around, the organisers are just too spent to offer the kind of support that we have come to expect
