deonkretch Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Agreed - take DHL!! Placed an order a couple of weeks ago, went for the "Free shipping" - 4 to 8 days, three weeks later still nothing. Mailed Chainreaction and they shipped another parcel (at their cost - awesome service) via DHL - three days later had it in my hands. The other parcel is still nowhere to be found and don't even try talking to the idiots at the Post Office... 'Eish, We need trêkin namba, otherwise we can't find eet..."
splat Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 The South African Stardard Delivery takes nearly 4 weeks not 4 to 8 days. Customs and Post office a pain. My previous experience with Royal Mail and no tracking number was exactly 3 weeks.A mate took the DHL option on her order. It was slightly more expensive, but the stuff arrived quickly (ordered on Saturday and delivered on Friday).

If using Royal Mail its roughly 2 weeks, and if using Parcelforce its 4 day from UK, and then it sits here for a further 4 days, unless you go fetch it at ORT mail centre.Free shipping was weight dependent on whether CRC uses Royal mail or Parcelforce (2KG and over = parcelforce) not sure if this has changed recently.My last order took 4 weeks to be delivered.

crasher Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 I got an order yesterday. Customs was just on 16%. Waited 3wks exactly including weekends with free postage via Royal Mail so 'No Tracking'. My parcel was sent the same way its 20 days today and I am still waiting which is the longest I have ever waited
