Advice needed on Best Road Bike for under R20k

I have my eye on the Fondriest TF3 1.2 (2012 model). I've also seen the Cannondale Super Six 5. Is there perhaps anything in Scott that can compare. Whats the price of the cheapest Foil? The fondriest seems to have some really good reviews.

Hey! I hope this isn't too late.. But if it helps at all, I ride a TF3 and it really is an amazing frame. It's very responsive, very light and very stiff (all relative to the price range). I've been riding it a year or so now and it's one of the nicer frames I've ridden. They look really good too!! Out of the two you mentioned, I'd go for the Fondriest. I've had some experience with the Cannondale and while it is also a really nice frame, the Fondriest just feels better for me.

So you'd go for the caad10 over the super six?

CAAD 10 is bulletproof

Super six 5 is purdy but wont last as long as the CAAD

Try to break (?) it up into frame, parts and wheels and do a comparison. You can also throw in Giant in the mix.

Yip, you can get a Giant with Ultegra for under R20k

Not sure with the 2013 pricing, but the cheapest Scott Foil in the 2012 range was R29 000.

If you shop around, you may pick up a bargain 2012 or 2011 bike. For example, the Sports Basement were selling 2010 Specialized Tarmac Comps for R16 999.
