I took my wife and 4 year old daughter to watch a dh race recently. When I came past in my race run my daughter was shouting “ daddy, daddy!“ And then started crying when I didn't stop! Luckily I came second so I got to go on the podium and get a medal. She was more exited than me! But trying to get here lo leave the forest was a nightmare... “No daddy, I wanna see more bikes!!!“.

took my 2 and a half year old boy in the trailer again - he now cheers me up on the uphills. "yeeaaah daddy, made it"

Man, it is the best think ever. forget about tubeless/tube discussions and the best Epic training prep programmes - it's these things that make riding amazing.

Couldn't agree more. Fitted my son's pedals last night after work and showed him how to clip in and out. He spent 30 min riding around in the dark not wanting to get off. Now all he wants to do is go ride this weekend!! Gotta love that!

Hahahaha!!! Had moerse lekker laugh now!

For me it would be riding a new trail or finding a new trail that flows so lekker, that warms my heart.

Got that feeling when I first hit the river trail at Van Gaalens & then the trails at Karkloof

Yep,

This is the stuff that makes the world go round. Enjoy it while it lasts because before you realise what is happening they have grown up, married and out of the house.

Have a great time with your kids

Your buddy sms you to organize an afternoon ride and you look forward to it for the whole day at work even though you know he's going to set a pace that's going to leave you hurting.
