Xfusion shock (RL) and slight oil leak

There was a little bit of oil on the shock today after a 40km ride, no jumping or anything like that, just a casual 40km down dirt roads etc. Is this normal? I have seen it once before on my shock. The shock has done about 150km (with me anyway...!) and the bike was bought new.

That picture is pretty poor, there is not a lot of oil, hardly any but I would have thought there shouldn't be any at all?!

It looks more than what it is as it has absorbed dirt road dust as well!

I wouldn't worry about that - little bit of 'seepage' is not abnormal. When it starts dripping off the shock, then the seal is blown. Or even a pre-emptive service once a season is not a bad idea.

Nothing wrong there. The coating on the stanchion is designed to allow a bit of oil past the seal to lubricate it. Just make sure you clean the gunk off after every ride, you don't need that getting past the seal.
