awesme Posted October 19, 2012 Share Hi all Is there a difference: Hope Pro2 Hubs and as per:http://www.buycycle.co.za/buyparts/wheelsets-mtb/custom-wheelset-ztr-crest-rims-hope-hubs-dt-swiss-spokes.html and http://www.hopetech.com/page.aspx?itemID=SPG258 Looking for a matching set of skewers: Rear: 12x142 - I will get a skewer with the Frame.Front: 15 Maxle - I will get a skewer with the Fork (Revelation, RCT3 Solo Air) Most of my parts are either Hope, Thomson or Shimano based. jannosmit Posted October 19, 2012 Share Evos are a bit lighter, some difference in the bearings as well. Johann Bornman said something once about it.
Johan Bornman Posted October 19, 2012 Share The Evo and pre-Evo front hubs are EXACTLY the same. The Evo rear hubs have a larger axle and therefore different bearings. This allows it to be adapted to through-axle use as well as QR. However, if you don't use through axles on the rear, a non-Evo is better since it uses far, far cheaper bearings.
