I know what you're saying, But when last has there been a real winner in the TDF?

eish, almost reported your post instead of replying to it!

I guess that most people knew that the TDF is/was/will forever be riddled by doping, but choose to turn a blind eye to it. But as I said, Lance-gate took it to a new level perhaps? I dunno

Isnt it Body Building that has seperate titles/associations for dopers and non-dopers? But it wouldnt work for cycling.

To venture a bit off topic, are there any sports in which doping could be the exeption rather than the rule?

Good question, lets look at the possible contenders for dope-free sports:

1. Bowls - unlikely, the old people are all on Voltaren for their joints an Viagra to keep up.

2. Target shooting - unlikely, I hear they take Beta Blockers to keep calm.

3. Chess - unlikey, apparrently they take Ritalin to help them focus

4. ? I'm stumped for more candidates

We (our company) used to invest in an advertising package for the Tour on DSTV every year... the last 2 years we even super sized to an HD package... I can already tell you that next year we will not be advertising... it's sad.. and not funny at all...

and that is the real tragedy...

I thought controvercy normally helps the advertisers - more publicity (eg Nando's)

You'd laugh at how many clients say, "Yeah, c'mon, give us a campaign like Nando's 'cos we really want to make a noise," then get so sh*t scared when they have to put their name to it. On the TdF, yeah, lots of advertisers and sponsors will pull out; they're afraid of their jobs and aren't strong enough to defend their decision to stay in.

I was speaking to a guy the other day that does these "Strong Man" competitions and he was saying that the steroids there are rife because no tests are conducted. So it's rather unfair to those who don't dope.

Not the name so much but how about talking about transfers as "transfusions"?

Seeing as they are getting in some "new blood" "injected" into the team.

Climbing referred to as "taking the plunger"

Anyone that falls of the back is "riding with his own engine"

Team bus - body shop

Im sure there are more
