How to become a SA MTB/Road elite rider and to get sponsor?

i was thinking what is a good place to start to become a pro rider besides training hard?

And in the future i would like to have a team and become sponsored? how do i get sponsored?

I was in the same boat. Here are my suggestions:::::::: STEP 1: continue training hard and once you get to a level where you think you are good, train twice as hard. STEP 2: If you have not yet, apply for an elite license. Step 3: Enter a race in which some good teams are participating. Step 4: Do some crazy shxxxxxttttt. Attack off the start line, Turn yourself inside out by pacing as long as you can for no reason. (oh wait there is a reason) show those pros that you dont take poo from anyone!! Do it a few races. Do not care about results for now because you will first need to get the peletons respect!

Best bet would be to work through the club structures at one of the bigger clubs. They normally want you to race the league, paid for by yourself, for a season. If you are good enough you can get a slot on one of their teams, with some kit, nutrition and bike servicing sponsored. Ride for a few years and race in the bigger events and try a few of the things in post #5 above and see where it goes, give yourself five years, if you make it by then go for it, if you don't crack it you can always be a bike mechanic.
