Tractor Posted November 13, 2013 Share Longest I managed on the On-One (32-16) was the Crater Cruise long ride some years ago which turned into a LONG day in the saddle, but I must admit I enjoyed every minute of it. Best of luck to all riding their SS this weekend - may the down hills be with you, may the up hills be short, and hopefully you're geared right for the straights

divernick Posted November 19, 2013 Share Thanks guys. My goal was 3.45 but I really wanted a sub 3.30. It was my first 94.7 road race and I was scared of the N14 after hearing a bunch of horror stories. Happy to say I made it. Next year will be a booze cruise with the wife. lone one
SteveS Posted November 19, 2013 Share Ran a 32x14 and clocked 3:24 Did you manage with the 32x14 up the hills, i.e. Joe Slovo?
divernick Posted November 20, 2013 Share Did you manage with the 32x14 up the hills, i.e. Joe Slovo? The gear was perfect, my tyres were at 40psi and I only had to stand once or twice up the hills.
