1st I would like to thank the lady in the paramedic car for giving me a hub blue wrist band it really inspired me to carry on cycling as I was really tired and in pain.

I would say that the FastOne is tougher than 94.7 as there is virtually no resting time just pedalling the whole way. My Avg spd = 22km/hr Max spd = 54 km/hr and time +-4:45.

The new start of the race is nice but left me with a problem. You see the max I can really pedal the bike constantly is about 25km/hr so as soon as I hit 26km/hr its pointless really to pedal so gravity takes over and I free wheel. So for about the 1st 10km I really pedalled and just freewheeled the whole way which is nice but doesnt allow me to warm up leaving swartkoppies as my warmup area.

A tip for people that cramp is dont stop no matter how painfull it is. I was cramping so badly it felt as if my kneecaps were going to explode from 50km as the bike geometry is completely wrong, but I rode through the pain and infact 20km down the road you can`t feel the pain anymore.

Lastly thank you to everybody else for their chirps which made me laugh and kept me sane inspiring me to dig deep and finish the race.

Oh guys you will be seeing the tricycle more often this year 8 more races to be exact so keep an eye out Wink I will try post my view of the race every time.
