I'm just riding to Fratelli's from work (in Rivonia).Also, I won't be heading back that way after the ride as I live closer to Fratelli's. You're welcome to tag in on the ride up to Fratelli's this afternoon. Go to the bridge on ballyclaire... wait for riders.... drop off the bridge into pack. it sucks, I work 10 minutes from there and cross over it around that time, just don't have the time to join in *sigh* one day.

Thanks guys....... The Ballyclare bridge sounds like a plan. I will try that....... I went for a ride on the spruit 2 weeks ago for the first time on that rainy saturday morning. Was awesome.....besides the 5 or so groups of guys lighting their fires in the bush. I was so sure that I was gonna get jacked, but didnt.Taking a chance alone is a bad idea. thanks againEren

In the dark I hit a large hole and I endo'd flat on my face. A bit of a black eye this morning and a cut on my nose in the shape of my glasses. Someone made a joke that if I had a 29"er I wouldn't have disappeared down the hole. Arete will know who that could be. DR ◣◢ 1
BBN Posted December 13, 2012 Author Posted December 13, 2012 (edited) Yip, great ride and great to see/meet everyone..........no group photo I'm afraid!9 riders for the 4.15 group and then 16 for the 5.30 group, great turnout!The first group clocked a nice 40kms at 16km/hAs Mike said, couple of punctures and a couple of tumbles, well Arete did say she would fall to christen her new wheels, but all good and I think it was a full turnout for pizza and beer after. My first ride on that section of the spruit this morning thanks to all. was quite busy, saw probably 20+ riders before 6 this morning. dirren't realise it was so popular. and in other news... it finally happened. My first de-cleating incident while trying to cross the river, i thought I could get up the rock. lost grip. no witnesses was a bit of a shin-dig.
