breaker Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 So I bought a lock for my bike and this bike mount. But clever me lost the instructions also thinking how hard can this beWell apparently very for me atleast. Its supposed to be mounted on the seat post, with the lock cable rear facing. however, I'm not sure I'm supposed to screw those 2 allen key screws all the way.If you look at the shape it looks like there are 2 sort of loops, obviously one for the seat post, but what about the other?Whats that for?I guess what I'm asking is it just supposed to go on the seat post like that or am I missing some parts?

Johan Bornman Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 It isn't as complicated as a chain and lock that you have to either sling over your shoulder Hell's Angels style or wrap around your bike where it can scratch the paint off. It mounts either on the seatpost facing backwards or, inside the main triangle on the seat tube, facing forwards (in other words centered between your legs). To me it looks like the two loops do one and the same thing. It could have been one broad loop or, two smaller ones. It seems like you have a ratchet of sorts there on the loops that lock with the allen screw you mention? Try that or post multiple photos. breaker and fabes 2

Yep it is a rachet or sorts but if I keep on turning it, it seems the loop is not supposed to be that small to fit only the seat post.
