  1. Could anyone advise where i would be able to source 24inch presta tubes for my daughters bike. Seems to be scarce in cpt and not keen on drilling the wheel to fit schrader
  2. So as luck would have it, my late decision to commit to durban 70.3 is too late :(:(:( Seems all sold out. Does anyone know transfers from one athlete to another is allowed? I'm hoping if someone is willing to sell that it is actually allowed, otherwize massive admin fail on my side.
  3. Yeah not planning on PBs for the 2 oceans half, im thinking and will be happy with a 2.30-2.45. Just want to be comfy.
  4. Thank you for the advice everyone, yep will be popping into the runct store and sportsmans ronderbosch on saturday, to see what "their" run analysis machines says respectively.
  5. Hey everyone, been a while. I have the 2 oceans half coming up so it might be a bit too late but thought I'd ask anyway. I have always been running in asics stability shoes. Currently in an end of life GT 2000 (7), i think the latest one is the 10. My question is what alternative shoe brands should i be considering. Always a tricky thing, as i only get the hang of a shoe after a few kms, so no try before you buy. Any recommendations? or should i stick with what works ie gt2000 10?
  6. The rack that I sourced will fit perfectly in line with the trailer, just need to drill 2 additional bolts and widen the racks tracks, apparently my 2.5's a tad bit too wide for it. Once its done I'll pop some picks here.
  7. Thanx for the feedback everyone, managed to get a good looking camp master roadster 310. Looking at getting the bike rack sorted for it. Originally I was going to source another 2 bike holdfast rack as I have one that I use now and make some sort of adaptation so that the one 2 rack is fixed and the other can be removed. However I stumbled onto a 4 bike rack for this trailer, the only thing I noticed is that the bikes are mounted perpendicular to the trailer/car instead of inline with it if that makes sense. Is this going to be as big of an issue? I know its mounted exactly the same on the normal bike rack but that is behind the car and this would be a little more exposed sitting on top of the trailer?
  8. I dont know, will have to see
  9. Yeah, look I reckon 32front and 11-32t (9 speed) wont be so bad coming from a single speed 16inch muna. Not as great as the 40t but then again we not going to be climbing Tokai just yet.
  10. Can vouch for the AirFlex pro 2020 model, the previous got quite bad reviews about the stretching after a while and falling down instead of protecting your knees. I'm happy with the 2020 model, even though its early days. Dont even have to drop it to my ankels when climbing, infact at this stage its so comfortable, hardly notice its there.
  11. I do get the need to climb and spinning out, however this is the move from a 16inch to a 24inch, so long over due, and wanting to shed some weight and simplify things if its literally just removing those items and maybe replacing some bolts, if not then yep it will stay as is.
  12. Hi guys, didn't want to jack this thread https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/186440-mountain-bike-1x-conversion But issue is exactly what I would like to do for my kids 24inch bike. Its a 3x9(44-32-22 and 11-32t) and I would like to get ride of the 22 and 44 rings, front derailer and shifter. Its Shimano Alivio in front and SLX at the back. Is this possible to do, or will I be running into similar issue the op of the link above is running into.
  13. , I expect my initiation fee int mail correct :) Nice one man.
  14. Thanx everyone, will post more questions when I find one to view, but really appreciate the feedback.
  15. Have a towbar, if I'm hauling 4 bikes rest assured my boot not going to be big enough for stuff accommodating the trip, hence looking at the trailer as well.
  16. So, bike count and size is increasing and my trusty holdfast 2 bike rack unfortunately won't cut it anymore. Hence me looking at a trailer that I could fit a 4 bike rack onto. Looking at second hand trailers, I need advise please. Have no idea what to look out for as I'm super new to this one. What i do know thus far far is 13inch not 10inch , check tire tread and preferably nose cone. What I don't know is: Is rust an issue - reason I ask is because its astonishing the amount asked for what looks like rust buckets If there are "no papers", how much would it cost and whats involved in "getting papers".If there are "papers" what do I need to look out for?If it does not have a bike rack, what do I need to look at ito getting one mounted onto it.Also a bit obvious, but is age an issue? And then what else do I need to ask a potential seller?Any advise would be appreciated, thanx.
  17. I filled in as per normal on efiling and got a 0.00, with the auto one I've got some bucks back so need to go into it to understand if everything is 100%
  18. Does a negative amount mean I owe sars, or sars owes me? If I owe sars, then off to the editing I go .
  19. So time has come to buy the Titan, she fits perfectly on a 24 so that debate is done. Except that the 2020 Titan Calypso 24 sold out country wide , its birthday month next month and now this. So sorry to open up the thread here again but any advice? Have access to a titan 2019 model, but that 3 by + the price is for a 2020 model is killing me. Latest out of the shops is , they(Titan) might only start delivering in October/November due to Rona. Also not much in the second hand market as well.
  20. Doubt I'll make it to sea point but thanx for the alternative idea.
  21. Hi, so with the increased riding with the kids, we hitting more punctures even with sludge in the tubes. So I thought I'd just by a bunch of tubes, probably could make good money in my neighborhood with the amount of kids on their Muna's . Problem is, where exactly would I be able to source those from, any ideas?
  22. Shot for that , I reckon you stop feeding your kids period. That way you wont have the growing problem and save moola
  23. I'm assuming you preferring the Titan based on your experience? Yep so she has faily long arms but that means nothing at the moment as getting to a bike shop with a 24inch in lockdown is a challenge.
  24. Really thanx to the peeps providing info in this thread. I'm too needing to upgrade by 2 girls Muna bikes(16 and 14), which has been epic for them. The Muna 16 will go to the 5 year old and now need something for the 7 year old. She is 128cm so according to the sites just too small for the 24. This has been a compelling debate over here ie 20 and upgrade in 2 years vs 24 and upgrade ?. We have the "luxury"of handing down to her sis, so I'm leaning to the 20inch. That being said Hades seem to be the weapon of choice, I did want to ask regarding other brands like giant and scott are they still the heavy weights and a no go? And also being a momsen fanboy(Was my first mtb how does the jsl20 range compare to the titan. TIA
