good luck hope you get well soon

there are some very technical sections at Groenkloof that might be a good idea to get them marked I see loads of people riding there over weekends

Yip. I agree. I have been riding for years and love the technical as i used to race enduros

There are a few bad spots

Espesially after rain. My tumble was on the rocky descent from the hill on the south side

Hope all goes well, rsa ... jeez, sounds rough but you sound chipper. Fluid on the temporal lobe is a condition most Hubbers have, I think.

biggrin.png Yes, I think you might have a point there.biggrin.png

Sorry to hear about your misfortune, and all the best for the recovery.

Love that place! I have a 20km route I stick to, which ends with a long & fast downhill bumpy loop, which is always the highlight of my ride there. Wouldn't like anything to go amiss, I cane it down there and its very rocky. Get some airtime as well over some of the drainage bumps :)

Thing is with mtb is to assess the route, and decide if its go/no go. I have learnt that the hard way at some events at Van Gaalens, where I have done body plants into rock gardens. Mainly due to over-confidence it must be said. I felt after that there should have been warning signs but its just part of the mtb skill suite: sussing out what you can and can not do. Accidents and mishaps happen as well, that's just bad luck.

Feel your pain man , went down a week or so ago , was like plain sailing pure bliss one second then faceplant the next , ratchets up your respect for gravity and being constantly aware up to a whole new level. Just a bitch you need to eat dirt to gain that respect , a well such it is...
