The headtube and seattube junction looks over designed.

Linkages look cool, like renassaince man says, actually pretty simple.

That whip from the other side

Always amazed at how cool and slick those whipe look when slowed, yet they look rushed and panicky at fill speed. Watched the Codeine review video where the whip is shown at both speeds.

In terms of linkages, it's actually pretty simple. One rocker, and a lower link. It just looks so damn complicated and.... ugly.

The shock is floating, so maybe not as simple as you make it out to be

And? Plenty other designs APPEAR simpler, but have floating designs... trek for one.

What I'm saying is that it appears complex but really isn't. Not as much as it seems, and certainly no more than other designs out there.

Admittedly, the seat-tube/toptube arrangement makes it look a bit more cluttered

yep. That's what I was saying. The whole design makes it appear far more complex than it actually is...

There's still a LOT more going on in there than the Trek design

I think its okay - looks strong and seems to work well - Polygon riders win enduro's on the thing.

Myles, just had a thought - it'd be a good bike for you instead off the Reign?

I've fallen in love, unfortunately...
