Thanks a lot.

I suppose that you can start in a lower start group as per normal races, but then you have to start in that group for the rest of the event. Did I understand this correctly?

The Comrades are those guys who are not really into racing it, but would rather ride with friends who fall into different catergories from each other.

Stage 2 last year was insane... Head wind of note.

Forecast is for 5km/hr headwind in the morning , Tailwind in the afternoon.

Clear skies, min 17°C min 31°C.

It will be warm north of the Soutpansberg, pack some sunblock

After doing 8:51 in the saddle on day two of Sani, 5.5 hours is a very short ride! lol

If it took you 8:51 for Sani Stage 2 you will really struggle to do a 5:30 Kremetart.

Pack it in your tog bag for the tog bag truck. Along with an extra tube, tools and anything else you may need.

Yup, the tog bag van is a great help. No need to carry stuff with you like a pack rat on tour.

Are we doing a hub get together before / after the race? (Pasta evening before, party after the event...)

Ja sounds funny. My riding partner was ill on Sunday, I think we are good for a 6:30/7:00 Sani day 2. Road cycling is also a very different story - looking forward to it.
