Wez-O Posted June 6, 2013 Share A colleague of mine was in Louis Trichardt yesterday and apparently it was 36°C. So thermal under garments are probably not the best idea for stage 2 I see the numbers are out.

It might still be nippy though the tunnels, but once you are though its gonna be warm north of the mountain Wez-O

jcza Posted June 6, 2013 Share Found the last room on the top of the stage 1 little hill. Will be at the pasta party before and the afterparty on saturday. Going to ride in my Cyclenation top, will be wearing something else Fri/Sat evening. Not big into wardrobe management, so cannot give pointer as to what I'll be wearing. See you all there. Have fun on the bike and be safe on the road north! See you at the start

Joe Low Posted June 7, 2013 Share Leaving Jo'burg around 3. staying at Gateway Inn opposite the start, hoping for a great day tomorrow and a bunch to hang with. Usually i come apart 8-10kms from the end of stage 3; semi-recover b4 stage 4 and limp to the top of the last hill - then its the fast run in to the finish, big smiles, beer and chocolate milk. jcza Posted June 9, 2013 Share Tough day yesterday but really enjoyed it! Stage 1 - climbing from the start hurt the legs but the descent was sweet. Stage 2 - wind wind wind & passengers which we eventually got rid of.Stage 3 - fast & furious. Had to stop due to cramp. Didn't lose too much time but lost the bunch. Stage 4 - limped home, tough climb to finish. Good seeing you 'os & wishing everyone a safe journey home. PS: Suggestion - burger for lunch was great idea but serving it cold is not great.
