Geoffrey Merrick is due to appear in courtroom B at Kuilsriver but they aren't able to give a time (they start calling people up at 8:30). Will contact the Tygerburger and see if they can maybe report on it.

Also difficult to get out of work in a week morning
andydude Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Is this why he fled the scene of the crime? Driving under the influence could have been the nail in the coffin for a lengthy prison sentence? This could perhaps backfire? I've read somewhere that driving under the influence could be a mitigating factor in the sense that he didn't know what he was doing. So by not being drunk it's assumed he was at his full senses which could count against him. Only wild speculation from me reading too much, but it would be great if someone in the know can shed some light?
