I measured mine a while ago. Mine was 150mm, but couldn't get that last 10mm of travel. They must have some quality control issues at fox with this fork - 3 different forks, all with different measurements and travel.

Oh, my travel is 140mm (taking all the air out), but there is 150mm of exposed stanchion.

Haha

I wish! everyone needed to get back early. Plus I was running a non ramped chain ring which was misbehaving!

I'm trying to think of another excuse :D

Too keen to hit Bat Outta Hell though!!!!!!

My chain was off for my last run down BOH. It is so steep and flowing that you don't need to pedal anywhere. A couple of places where I could have used a couple of pedal strokes just to stop my thighs from cramping up - they have to work damn hard in those 7 odds minutes - being so far behind the saddle and maneuvering the rear around every fast corner and steep berm. Then the massive g-outs near the bottom gets them...

Sigh, now I wanna go back!

Hilton is an absolute magician! We were fortunate enough to spend the week of the world cup in Karkloof. A week wasn't even enough time to ride all the trails. Here's my (and my boet's) maiden run down BOH. Damn, what a good time and such a beautiful spot.

Flowta awesome bike. Just do yourself a favour and ditch that Rapid Rob on the back. It's called that because it rapidly robs you of traction !! Best application is for an indoor trainer or Tarmac coffee ride.

Lol, it's currently a temporary situation till I find something else.

Also have a set of Surly Dirt Wizards 26+ on their way, which fitted to my 26" wheels will come up the same size in diameter but 70mm wide.

Now THAT'S how you do 650b!

Edit: would those fit in a lyrik? 70mm on what size rim?

559 aka 26er, 32mm wide (they recommend 35)

Re Lyrik, depends whether you could fit a 650B in there (should be the same outer as a cross mark 2.1)
