As far as I know it 15k without a rear shock for the new Commencal Meta? So if you add a rear shock it comes close to 20k Probably...

Anyways To Each His Own! As long as you enjoi your ride whats the point of debating which is better or cheaper or what size your Wheels are.. It Personal choice in the end.

I for one would rather get the Commencal but hey I'm still on 26"

From experience...

The meta am v4 is R15k without the shock. If you are lucky you could pick up a Rockshox Monarch plus RC3 debonair for R5k (probably more). Then you have yourself and awesome frame and an awesome shock for +/- R20k. But wait theres more...

You then need to have the shock mounting hardware made as the frame ships without this.

I'm sure its totally worth it!

Sorry I'm from close to George and we don't have a Makro here and I've looked at the bikes at Game but they seems to be out of stock, which Makro did you buy from, do they still have stock?

Unfortunately Makro don't sell Tracers any more. The sales weren't intense enough.

LOL. I know what you mean...

I am not built for climbing.

Ja jeesh, it's nogal a struggle to get up Stairway with the Tracer. Good training though. But of course when the trail turns down all is forgotten!

Should try it on my reign X. Raydek was saying that it was like watching a fishing float on rough waters... bob bob bob bob.

Haha! Ah well, if it doesn't kill you. The Tracer doesn't bob that much, but it's still a hunk of metal and maxxis to get up the mountain.

yeah. My problem is that I'm a fatass. Existing shock needs to have  alower volume can on there. I'm already at the max pressure in both chambers and I'm just too big for it.

Meh.

Don't feel alone. The other day at Meerendal someone asked me whether I got my Tracer at Makro. Laughed so hard, I spilt half my coffee.

Little do they know that your seat post cost as much as the bikes they sell...

Haha! Ag, I had a good hearted chuckle at the guys question. Intense is obviously not a well known brand in SA, so I forgave him for his noob question. :-)

Yeah I didn't know you still had to try get hardware for it to... Still a sick bike with its SA complications.

Anyways I took a Enduro out for a smash the other day and Spez made that thing right! So I'm sure your loving yours. Enjoi it

Two words: Pro Pedal

Since Droo serviced my shock and the Pro Pedal now actually works it has been a pleasure to ride. I currently ride it around the 'hood with the little guy and climbing up my road I get very tired very quickly. (@100kg and 30% sag it happens very quickly) Then I remember the little blue lever....

A quick flick and it's like riding a different bike!

(I even use the lockout of the fork....  I'm becoming such a race snake.... :w00t:   )

it does work... Sadly it's the DHX5, which on the giant frame has a well documented history of having no support whatsoever in the midstroke.

Did the Reign originally come with the DHX5?

I currently have Formula RX breaks on my ride, but they are getting on. I spotted a Avid Elixer 1 set up for sale.. Thoughts?
