I owe 'Drac' an apology after I clearly underestimated his man Quintana earlier in the Tour. Definitely a star in the making and a potential grand tour winner (so long as flat time trails are kept to a minimum).

I do feel sorry for Valverde who has been really impressive this tour and but for a puncture at the wrong time he too would have been in the podium for Movistar.

Alberto Contador has said that he will not defend his victory at the 2013 Vuelta a Espana after a difficult Tour de France, where he has been unable to be competitive against Chris Froome (Team Sky).

How I wish Froome would take part and give Nibali a good spanking.

Everyone has their share of bad luck - remember Chris in last year's tDf lost a few mins. in a crash in one of the first stages?

So awesome Chris and Sky have pulled this off. Besides the funding (Murdock inc) and Sir Brailsford and crew, I don't know how much of a British victory this is though.... Chris is one of us umlunghus :o

Very happy with the rest of the podium, probably the first time a member of the indigenous peoples of the world have every podiumed in the TdF? Good for Columbia as well, looks like the whole situation there is calming down with FARC winding down.

Purito: glad he found some form towards the end, go Catalonia!

Thinking about this a bit more: we do have all the Brits to thank. After all if they hadn't made Murdock stonking rich by supporting all his trash tabloids over the years, we wouldn't have Team Sky init?
