Well earned victory for OPQS after driving the peloton for most of the day.

Spectacularly, Sagan and Cav' managed to be part of the breakaway that shook up the day's results.

Cool move by Saxo to get away. It looked like Froome saw it happening but did not want to jump over without his team. He got onto he radio, but by that time Saxo was flying. I think he would have been repeatedly attacked by 2 mini Conto and Kreuziger groups later on if he did bridge.

Must've been a sinking feeling for Froome during that key moment, looking around and there was no team support.

Just checked the highlights now.

What a stage! WoW

Well done Saxo and Cavendish. ( Mollema too)

Contador is going to bring his A game come Sunday. The tour might still be open to 3 riders.

Super stoked

Froome is individually strong with a really vulnerable team.

The way to topple him is through smart TEAM tactics.

Well illustrated today.

“When echelons form it's similar to falling through ice... You know you've got, like five seconds to rectify and get in the right position to save yourself or it's finished – it's over. The group went, Kwiatkowski just missed it, he left a little gap and I actually did more watts in the sprint over to the front group than I did at the finish sprint. I just managed to get on as the last man and we were away. It was close but it was nice to do it..."
