Sagan is unbelievably talented but I can see some Borat in him. I just wonder if he can be transformed into a GC contender?

No.

The guy is 23 years old, I won't write him off

His coach said that if he shed some weight, he could move over to the GC ladder.

So is Quintana.

Sagan as GC contender.......no.

Y'all here on the hub who are fascinated by him should make peace with the fact.

he has sprinters fibers (and even those aren't) as explosive anymore, he is too big, and lastly way too cocky.

Change the first two and you will have a nut that attacks the start of every climb only to blow spectacularly.

Fascinated for sure, youngster just defended the green jeysey with ease. Around 6ft and 73kg, need to shed some kgs? Yes of course but definitely not impossible.

One thing people simply don't get, and even coaches.

Each person has a genetic make-up that makes for their talent.

Sadly for Sagan, his is that he is a sprinter and his coach now wants to make his name tot by creating some sensationalism.

I see how people misunderstand ability or underestimate others, happens even on our local rides.

poor old Sagan was made to suck climbers hind tit.

Does that take away the fact that he is an exceptional sprinter....no.
