Bouhanni in the convoy...

The sprinter from the FDJ.fr team, Nacer Bouhanni, has been suffering gastric problems in recent days. He's currently been dropped by the peloton but he continues to ride while hiding - when he can - from the wind by sitting in behind team cars.

"He's not going well," said team director,Thierry Bricaud. ""The start wasn't so bad because the pace was relatively easy but when the pace picks up, he's having trouble maintain the tempo but he's going to fight on for as long as he can."

Figures. He was my ASG comp pic today...

More bad news

Looking grim for Bouhanni...

Bouhanni has now been passed by virtually all the team cars. He is creeping to the top of the climb but is 2'00" behind the stage leaders and is now consulting the FDJ.fr team car. Last year's French champion hasn't yet conceded to the gastic problem he's been suffering for two days.

get the sense Cav isn't trying all that hard for the intermediates though...

Yip, he is looking at the big one at the end.

Quintana crashes...

Nairo Quintana has had a crash at an intersection. He mis-judged a turn around the 55km mark and hit the gutter on the left side of the road.

He has remounted his bike and is racing again.

Not much excitement today. Intermediate sprint coming up

One of my fab 9 in the HubSA comp!

Think he is the favourite for a win today, dead flat stage, should take it, needs to take it to try claw some points back from Mr Sagan.

Now having said he will take it he will probaly prove me wrong - I never get predictions right !!
