Depends... if you are used to it should not be an issue, still think 3 bottles worth is to much (but then i don't know what size bottles they were).

I think with all the GU's you had enough carbs...

Did u get stomach cramps and muscle cramps or just muscle cramps?

Both as well as some incredibly painful stiches ... under the ribs in the chest cavity.

Checked my data and HR never went above 157 on the run ... weird.

Sooooo.... what waz u doing?

I was changing into my cycling gear and trying to eat at the same time.

Was also chatting to people, high-fiving each other on how well we had done in the swim and how this would give us a head start on the bike  . It didn't actually feel like I took that long, time flew.

Who loves their finisher shirts?

I seriously don't understand how Merrell as a performance technical apparel brand would put their name on a shirt sourced from the same supplier that Julius and Zuma get their supporter shirts.

I wear my 5150 shirts all the time, they are great. After promises of better shirts in the race live chat session by Paul Woolf, they come up with these. Suitable for car washing. By that I mean polishing the body work, not wearing while washing the car.

I have to agree. The quality of last year's T was really bad, so I was expecting something similar to 5150.

JGR drank too much and become bloated due to it not being a hot day. He then started losing cabin pressure before crashing in the final parts of the run. Mystery solved :whistling:

Seriously ... that might be in. Probably also why I didn't feel 'hungry' ..

You also make an excellent point about the sweetness of the gels ect

Thanks. But the whole www.ironman703.co.za now forwards to this site.

I want to download the full Excel results as in the past.

I saw this morning that everything redirects there now and it's broken all of the links.

Let us know if you find the results anywhere, I also want to download them.

13 minute T1 for me. :D

Chatting, sun cream (I'm like a vampire that suffers from albinism), taking my time...

What an incredible experience. I'm still on a high. Can't wait for next year.
