WC MTB XCO Champs Programme.pdf Beware: This track, the XCO format and the conditions forecasted for Saturday is not for sissies. But then again, we don't have a lot of sissies in Africa . MTB_Roadie Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 (edited) Did the course on Saturday, some nice technical section, there is one sections where you get a drop of about 60cm or take the chicken run....I like the route, challenging...up and down all the time, short steep climbs...If the weather is sucky it is going to get slippery. I forgot about the river crossing. Might get downright dangerous if the rain forecast materialises.

Adrenalin Fox Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Okay, in view of the fact that a "purple storm" now looks imminent & unavoidable for this weekend and particularly tomorrow, in the interest of safety the organisers of the WC XCO Champs have resolved to postpone tomorrow's event, rather than to risk life and limb of everyone but the most ghung-ho of competitors. Communications will go out to all those entered. 15th June looks like the most likely date. Same venue. Will confirm & post update.

stringbean Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Rode it on Tuesday,garmin gave me altitude gain for 1 lap of 90 000 meters.I think my garmin may be a bit off.
